Privacy and cookies

Last updated: 15 August 2026

This notice explains how blonde.travel handles personal data and cookies. The website is operated by blonde.travel. Privacy questions can be sent to olga@blonde.travel.

Information we process

Our hosting and security services process basic technical information, such as IP address, requested page, browser details, timestamps, and security events. This is necessary to deliver the website, prevent abuse, diagnose faults, and keep the service secure.

If you contact us or submit information through a site feature, we process the details you provide so we can respond or operate that feature. Please do not send sensitive personal information through public comments.

Optional analytics

With your consent, we use Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors use our travel stories. It may collect page views, engagement events such as scrolling and outbound link clicks, device and browser information, and approximate location derived from an IP address. We have disabled Google advertising signals and ad personalization for this stream, and we do not use a logged-in User-ID.

Google Analytics does not load until you choose Allow analytics. Rejecting analytics does not reduce the website’s functionality. You can withdraw or change your choice at any time through the Cookie settings button.

Cookies

  • bt_analytics_consent_v1 stores your analytics choice for up to 12 months. It is necessary to remember that choice.
  • _ga and _ga_* distinguish visits for Google Analytics after consent and are configured to expire after no more than 12 months.

Withdrawing analytics consent removes the Google Analytics cookies that this site can access and prevents further analytics collection from your browser.

Service providers and transfers

Amazon Web Services provides website hosting, content delivery, storage, security, and operational email services. Google provides analytics only after consent. These providers may process data outside Luxembourg or the European Economic Area under their applicable contractual safeguards. Read the Google Privacy Policy and AWS Privacy Notice for more information.

Third-party content embedded in an article, such as an Instagram post or video, may contact that provider when it is displayed or used. Its provider’s privacy terms apply.

Retention

Operational logs are retained only as long as reasonably required for security, troubleshooting, and legal obligations. Google Analytics event-level data is currently retained for two months and user-level data for up to 14 months. Aggregated reports may remain available for longer. Messages and submitted content are kept only as long as needed for the purpose for which they were provided and any applicable legal obligation.

Your rights

Depending on the circumstances, you may ask to access, correct, delete, restrict, or receive your personal data, or object to processing. Where processing relies on consent, you may withdraw it at any time without affecting earlier lawful processing. Contact olga@blonde.travel to make a request.

You may also lodge a complaint with Luxembourg’s data protection authority, the Commission nationale pour la protection des données (CNPD).
